Paolo Virzì is an Italian director. He made a name for himself with his first film La bella vita (Donatello and Silver Ribbon awards). Later on, he wrote and directed 8 films: Ferie d’agosto, a commercial success, Ovosdo (Jury’s special price at Venice), Baci e abbracci, My Name is Tanino, Caterina va en ville, Napoléon et moi (Daniel Auteuil and Monica Bellucci), Tutta a la vita davanti (2 Silver Ribbons awards), and La Prima Cosa Bella (Selection for the Oscars 2011, 3 Donatello awards, 4 Silver Ribbons awards, a commercial success with 7M€ revenues, sold in more than 40 countries).
Synopsis
Near by the Lake Como in Italy. Two families are linked by the same obsession: money. The rich Bernaschis and the broke real estate agent Dino Robelli, will make a dangerous deal. The day before Christmas, a terrible accident will change their fates.
