Amy Wang

Amy Wang is a Chinese-Australian filmmaker who grew up in the suburbs of Sydney, Australia. Her unique perspective often as an outsider fuels her passion for stories about social isolation and the human condition.

Amy is a graduate of the American Film Institute and an alumni of the prestigious Ryan Murphy Half Program – where she shadowed on American Horror Story. In Australia, Amy worked as a promos producer, where she directed shoots for X Factor Australia, Criminal Minds, Downton Abbey and How to Get Away with Murder.

Her films have been nominated for the Grand Prix at Clermont-Ferrand, won Gold at the Young Director Award at Cannes Lions 2018 and played at dozens of film festivals around the world. Her latest screenplay "Wa Wa" won Bluecat Screenplay 2018 and is a finalist in the Shore Film Fund, Lexus/Sydney Film Festival Fellowship, Scriptapalooza and New Orleans Film Festival.

She is currently developing a limited series aimed at humanizing social pariahs and two features exploring two extremely flawed women.
